Covers you if your actions cause injury to another person while playing (e.g. hitting someone accidentally with a golf ball).

Protection if you accidentally damage someone else’s property (e.g. smashing a car window with a stray shot).

Provides compensation if you’re injured while playing (e.g. hospital cover, disability, or accidental death benefits).

Ensures your insurance protection applies not just in your home country but also when golfing abroad.

Some insurers only cover play during daylight hours — important to check if you play in the evenings or under floodlights.

Defines where your cover applies — some policies limit protection only to golf courses, while better ones also include practice ranges, travelling to/from the course, or tournaments.

Sets a maximum payout for a single insured item. Some policies cap this too low (e.g. £200), which may not be enough to cover modern golf clubs worth several hundred pounds each.

With no cover limits on single items; you can confidently insure electric trolleys, single-seater buggies, and custom-fit equipment without worrying about being under-compensated if you need to make a claim. Just make sure that the total sum insured under your policy is high enough to cover the value of all your items combined.
